The Nintendo's DSi handheld will be released in the US on April 5th. However the new handheld system has already jumped to the top of Amazon.com's best selling video game list. Right now, the Black DSi is sitting at number two, while the [hideous] Blue DSi is sitting at number four on the list. The lack of a "Buy" or "Pre Order" button indicates that Amazon has already sold out of both colors. Amazon has also posted the following to the DSi product page:

As you may know, the Nintendo DSi is in great demand, and there are shortages of this product across the U.S. In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase a Nintendo DSi, we are limiting the total number of Nintendo DSi units that can be purchased. As a result, each household may only purchase three Nintendo DSi units.

This is great news for Nintendo, who currently dominating Amazon.com's best selling video game list. Currently (it updates hourly) 18 of the top 25 are Nintendo related games or accessories.
